Well I had a few days off from the regular business of writing here and releasing product, videos and a few other things I have in mind so I thought I better get back to it, especially considering it’s Monday the beginning of a new week.

I spent a lot of today emailing with another online marketer and he pointed me to a couple of wordpress plug-ins that I think are quite cool.

First plug-in was a very powerful little widget which enabled me to list the Top 10 Commentators on my blog. The direct benefit to you is the fact it has your name and a link back to your site which is dofollow enabled. If you are in the Top 10 you will have a link there for a month, then things are reset for another month. I think that only fair considering it gives everyone a fair chance of being in the Top 10 for a month, provided they remain on the list

Here’s a picture to show you the current standing and how easy it could be for you to be on the list simply by making just one more comment.

The link and list stays current for one whole month, so it can be in your interest to remain active with comments from month to month.

Please also remember. I do like comments with good content and not SPAM. SPAM comments, and they are easy to recognise so remember I moderate all comments, all SPAM comments will be deleted.

OK, enough of the hard-ball. Here’s another way you can get links from your comments back to your site.

I don’t think I can be more obvious about what I am suggesting and what is quite powerful!

Ang nakakatakot na bahagi ay hindi ko iyon kahit na alam kung paano mahalaga ang ilan sa mga libro sa aking koleksyon ay. Well, hayaan mo akong estado na isa pang paraan – Hindi ko magkaroon ng isang ‘koleksyon’ kahit hindi ko naisip nila ay isang ‘collection '. Binili ko ng mga libro dahil nagustuhan ko sa kanila… Hindi ko alam kahit na hindi na nila ay Mahalaga.

I had NO CLUE.

Sa paglipas ng susunod na ilang buwan kong basahin gaya maaari ko tungkol sa mga ginagamit at bihira libro. Ko rin matutunan ang talino’ ng bawat rin kilala at iginagalang ng libro dealer sa aking lugar na maaaring ako na makipag-usap. Ako tried sa pagsasalita sa sinuman at lahat na ito na pang-negosyo, ngunit karamihan ay hindi handa na magbigay sa anumang up ng kanilang mga lihim… except one old-time dealer.

Siguro siya ay handa na upang lumikom, o siya lamang ang nais na tulungan ako makapagsimula sa negosyong ito. Hindi ko alam, but he told me enough to get me started in this business and some decent money to get me through a rough spot.

Adobe’s Photoshop software is a very powerful image editing program that is by far the market leader for editing image files. I use Photoshop extensively when creating, at editing images for the web sites that I design. Almost all professional photographers and printers also use Photoshop to create all of the wonderful images that appear in magazines, billboards, and even on television. I am not the best artist in the world, but with Photoshop I have enough power to create brilliant images with tools that are built-in to the software. The coolest thing about Photoshop is that even as powerful as it is out of the box, there are many different plug-ins to make Photoshop even more powerful. The Photoshop plug-ins can be grouped into a few major categories which include 3D, color management, digital asset management, photographic, retouching, and special effects.

Several computers have different formats for pictures. RAW is a good format that is available for many cameras especially SLRs. One of Ansel Adam’s better know expressions, drawn from his early experiences as a concert pianist, was “The negative is the score, the print is the performance”. In digital photography, the image file is your score and your photo-editing program is where you perform. For the highest possible quality, you want to start with the best possible score-a RAW image file. These files contain all of the image data captured by the camera’s image sensor without it being processed or adjusted in any way. This lets you move the images to the computer and interpret this data the way you want to instead of having the camera do it for you. When you want total control over exposure, white balance, and other settings, this is the format to use because only four camera settings permanently affect a RAW image the aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and focus.Other camera settings are saved as metadata and affect the appearance of the thumbnail or preview images but not the RAW image itself. One thing to keep in mind is that RAW images are not always noticeably better. Where they shine is when you have exposure or white balance problems. Because RAW images have dramatically more information to work with you can open up shadow areas, recover lost details in highlights, and make fine adjustments to colors.

When the image is then opened and displayed by any application, the compression process is reversed more or less depending on which form of compression was used lossless or lossy. Lossless compression compresses an image so when it is uncompressed, as it is when you open it, its image quality matches the original source nothing is lost. Although lossless compression sounds ideal, it doesn’t provide much compression so files remain quite large. For this reason, lossless compression is only used by the highest quality image formats-namely TIFF and RAW.

When choosing between JPEG and RAW formats, here are some things to consider about each format. Because you can’t easily add pixels and retain image quality, or remove the effects of compression after the fact, it’s usually best to use the largest available JPEG size and the least compression available. If you have to reduce either, you can do so later using a photo-editing program. If you shoot the image at a lower quality setting, you can never really improve it much or get a large, sharp print if you want one. The only problem with this approach is that higher quality images have larger file sizes. RAW images are always captured at the largest file size, and any compression used is lossless. Images in this format used to require an extra processing step but since the latest programs such as Aperture and Lightroom were designed from the ground up after RAW formats were introduced they handle them as easily as they handle JPEGs.

If you use operating system tools or applications to look at a storage device in the camera or card reader, you will find it is listed like the other drives on your system. If it contains more than one folder, the one photographers care about is named DCIM (for Digital Camera IMages). If you delete this folder, the camera will recreate it (but not any images it contained). The purpose of this folder, called the image root directory, is to keep together all of the images you capture with the camera. If you use the same card with other devices, there may also be other folders on the same card holding MP3 music or other files.

The first four characters in an image file’s name, called free characters, can only be uppercase letters A-Z. The last four characters form a number between 0001 and 9999 and are called the file number. Canon uses the first four free characters IMG_ followed by the file number, Nikon uses DSC_, and Sony uses DSC0. Once transferred to your computer, or sometimes while transferring them, you can rename images with more descriptive names.

Exif (Exchangeable Image File Format) is a specification that spells out how information about a JPEG image is stored in the same file as the image. This information, including a thumbnail image, describes the camera settings at the time the picture was taken, and even the image’s location if the camera supports GPS (Global Positioning System). Digital cameras record this information as metadata in an area of the image file called the header. This information isn’t just for managing images, it can also be used by some printers to give you better results. Basically, any camera control set to auto at the time the image was taken can be manipulated by the printer or other device to improve results. Those set to one of the camera’s manual choices is considered to be a deliberate choice and is not manipulated.

If an image is not attractive to you, just erase it and then start over! You won’t have to develop any picture that you don’t like, either. With a digital camera, you can pick and choose which images you want to reproduce, so you have the freedom to make the editing process as painless as possible. If something doesn’t look right to you, just erase it and do it all over again.

Ironically, while cold prolongs the life of the battery, the cold, “slow” battery isn’t much good for use – the same process that slows the natural discharge of the battery slows the normal discharge during use, allowing the voltage to drop below usable levels even quicker. So, for batteries that are about to be used, warm storage (for example in a shirt pocket as opposed to a camera bag) speeds up the “metabolism” of the battery and keeps voltage higher longer – giving you more battery life. Common rechargeable batteries that lose a little power a day (often self-discharging in a month) can hold over 90% of their charge for several months if kept frozen. So, long-term cold, short-term warm: Just don’t give in to temptation when pulling those batteries from the freezer at the last moment and microwave them to get them in shape – that’s a story with a sad, sad ending, as if you’re very lucky the battery’s chemical storage mechanism will be broken down and the battery ruined. If you’re not lucky, you could burn your house down when the battery explodes. You may have recalled hearing somewhere about recharging batteries with microwaves – NASA has worked on exotic batteries recharged by directed microwaves, but both the battery and the microwave are very different from what you have at home.

Explore different camera angles: Small kids have some interesting facial features. They have cute button noses, big eyes and cherry lips. Experiment with different points of view. Don’t be afraid to turn everything on its head to find the perfect way to express the moment. Take tons of pictures: Children change so quickly. Both in the long term and the short. They are so dynamic and can offer you tons of amazing opportunities for great pictures and incredible headaches. With this said, you can use this to your advantage if you just take tons of pictures. If not, you can expect hours of frustration caused by just missing or rushing the perfect shot.

These days in news photography you could be selecting that career. This is probably one of the most exciting careers a beginner photographer could embark on. These photographers bring in photos that are current and stay with today’s flow of news. The picture should have power and capture the reader’s attention. It is difficult to just start being a news photographer, it is better to have some experience in the field. It takes a lot of trial and error to become really good at this field. Here are a couple really good tips: You have to master the art of holding the perfect shot. You have to make sure that you hold the shot longer. You should know how to create intervals for every shot that you take. You should know the story and listen well in your interviews. Ask your reporter for instructions so that you can follow his insight on where he would like to go with the story. Always use a tripod in capturing shots. Many believe that a video camera should be held steadily in place. Subalit, some photographers want to move freely in capturing their shots.

Like you, I spend a lot of time on my computer and surfing the net looking for information to help me with my business. Part of this time is consumed watching training videos or informational videos made with Camtasia.

Now for the bad news.

There isn’t anything you can do about the video because, as Frank explains, it is up to the creator of the video to fix the problem before it is published on the Internet.

So a little bit of good and bad news here, but at least if you are creating Camtasia Videos you can keep this in mind and fix the problem before you publish.

I’ve just returned from being away at a wedding for the weekend and while talking to a number of the guests something occurred to me.

Many of the people I spoke with know that I am involved in the Internet Business. This led to a number of questions and me spending a bit of my time explaining different aspects and techniques of how having an Internet Business can actually convert into making a significant income. Have you ever wondered why Internet marketing experts seem to tirelessly harp about the importance of building your email list?

If so, here’s a simple answer: It’s because what they’re all telling you is true. There is indeed a great potential to earn a lot of money in the list of emails you’ve complied from prospective customers. The more email addresses you have in it, the more chances you get.

So if you’re wondering how to build your list, here are a few suggestions you should consider.

Tip #1

Make the offer on each page. Many first-time online marketers make the mistake of placing the offer to subscribe to their newsletter or submit their email addresses for additional information on their homepage alone. But what about the other pages in your websites? What if your customer changes his mind and finds himself wanting to subscribe to your newsletter? Will you subject him to the added convenience of going back to your homepage just so he could give you your email address?

Who needs who anyway? If you want to get the email address of your prospective customers, you need to make it as easy as possible for them to give it to you and that includes placing the offer on virtually every nook and cranny of your website!

Tip #2

Give them the all-important disclaimer. You must be very clear when promising to prospective customers that you will not share their email addresses with other parties. You need to mean it, din, of course. Secondly, you must display this disclaimer every time you make the offer. Don’t give prospective customers the chance to doubt your sincerity. Let them know you’re very serious about your promise and that you truly intend to use their email for the purpose they have given it permission for.

Tip #3

Increase the number of affiliates you have. The beauty about affiliate marketing is that you can have thousands of people working for you, advertising your links and banners 24/7, and yet you only end up paying those able to help you make sales. For the rest, you get to enjoy free advertising from them. With more affiliates working for you, you get to enjoy more chances of having prospective customers notice your website and opt-in to your list.

Tip #4

Give your affiliates regular training. The Internet is a dynamic place and it constantly requires online marketers to update their knowledge, skills, and abilities if they want to keep up with the demands of the market. If you want your affiliate program help build the email list for your business, you need to monitor their performance and provide them training and motivation when necessary. Improve your reward scheme as well to further encourage your affiliates to work hard.

Tip #5

Let people know what they’ll get in return if they do sign up for your email list. Nobody does anything for free anymore. There are always strings attached to offers and as for your email list, you need to let them know it’s worth their while if they give their email address to you. Promising them valuable information is not enough. You need to be more specific. What kind of information will you give? How will they benefit from it? For how long will you contact them?

Unless you’re a real “newbie” online, or been living on a deserted island somewhere in the Pacific, then you will have heard the term “Blog”. You may even have a few in your own marketing bag of tricks. Blogging is something I use a lot to generate passive income streams.

Blogs have been around for a long time now, but it’s really only been within the last few years that online marketers have discovered just how profitable they can be.

Blogs can help generate a tremendous amount of traffic to your website(s), which means you are getting more eyeballs on your offers at generating more sales.

While a typical website can take hours to update, a site built around a blog can be updated INSTANTLY and search engines quickly take notice, literally ‘slurping up’ new content.

So when you create a blog and use a variety of keyword related posts, you can easily profit off of the results, which search engines like Yahoo and Google deliver.

When choosing the size of the hosting account to use there are a number of things you need to consider.

I created a quick video so you can see how easy it really is.

First thing to consider is what you are actually going to be doing with the space you rent.

These days it is quite inexpensive to set up a WordPress blog on your very own hosting account. If this is all you are going to use your space for then a small account would be sufficient. You can always start small and within your budget, then as you expand, so too can your hosting account, or you may even decide to host different sites on different hosting sites. This is particularly beneficial when you are trying to build a Virtual Real Estate (VRE) business and doing cross linking of sites. I’ll talk about this in another post, there is a good report I have read which explains this very clearly.

I just read an interesting article which could be the beginning of a whole new revenue channel for people like us who create PDF documents for our Interent Business.

Adobe Systems and Yahoo are partnering on a new advertising service for publishers interested in finding new revenue through content created in Adobe’s portable document format, or PDF.

This optional service for publishers, which is currently in the testing phase, has the potential to offer readers access to more free content, supported by ads.

Text-based ads, sold by Yahoo, will appear in a side panel next to the PDF document.

Ad revenue will be shared by Adobe, Yahoo and the content publishers. For Adobe, it’s a chance to participate in the lucrative online ad business.

I can see this being a BIG opportunity for PDF document publishers like us because it’s another way to make money on content.

One of the best things is that we will pay nothing to participate.

First we upload the PDF content to Adobe, the content is then ad-enabled. We can then distribute however we like.

People who read the document will see the usual content, along with some ads targeted to that content.

Advertisers will pay for the ads per click, which is the conventional online ad model.

Publishers testing the program include IDG InfoWorld, Wired, Pearson’s Education, Meredith MDP and Reed Elsevier. (NYSE:RUK) (NYSE:ENL)

In this highly competitive world of the Internet, in order for your website to draw in new customers, you will need to have your site listed highly in the organic results of the major search engines. In order to do this effectively, and with any chance of remaining on the first page, you WILL need to involve search engine optimization, or SEO as it is often referred to.

1. Search Engine Optimization is an continuous and ongoing process. It’s something you have to keep researching and modifying because search engines are always evolving and changing their methods of finding sites of value.

To do this you will first have to find out where your site is currently rated amongst all the others. This will give you somewhere to start and highlight the areas of your website you need to work on. It will also show you how your current visitors/customers are finding you, and the keywords or search engines they are using to do so.

There are a lot of tools available to help you with this research. There are also services available if you have the budget available and want to leave it up to the pros, although I have always found it better and more effective it I do it myself. After all, who knows your site better than you do?

The keyword meta tag is highly under-rated, and should be used correctly as it has heavy bearing on what the search engines associate with your site. There are many tools available to help you with your keyword research which will show you which keywords and phrases are search the most. Subalit, you are best not to target the highest keywords or phrases as there will be many other sites using the exact same terms, thus meaning you have a lot more competition. It is better to formulate a short list of some keywords that are heavily searched but only have a moderate amount of hits. Din, don’t fill your keyword meta tag with dozens of possibilities, it is better to have a small number of targeted keywords otherwise the search engines may think you are keyword spamming.

2. Optimizing your page and including valuable content. This is the next most important area of your website search engine optimization. If you have valuable content then search engines will love you.

Think of your site like a newspaper or magazine. If you don’t have valuable content then what reason do people have for coming back and reading it next time? None of course, so having good content that is added to on a regular basis has a two-fold effect. People keep coming back to read what you have published, and you are also give search engines exactly what they like to find, thus ranking you higher and higher on their search results page. This is why blogs are used more and more every day, because it is easy to add content which your readers and search engines like to find.

Make sure the titles of your articles contain the search term you are targeting in the article. Again I use the analogy of a newspaper or magazine. What is the first thing you see when flicking through them? it’s either the headline or the picture (which you can title on your website using the alt tag). It is exactly the same for readers of your site or search engines. The navigation system of your site is important as well. I see a lot of people using image based navigating systems. This is nice for a reader to see, but search engines can only read text, so it makes sense if you want to gain a good search engine ranking that you should have a text based navigation system. people are used to this as well, just think about a contents page in a book.

3. Let the search engines know you are there. To do this you can manually submit your site to most of the major search engines, Subalit, in the long term you will have better results if the search engines find you through links from other sites.

Tandaan, search engine optimization is an ongoing process. See how your site is progressing after it’s the first month of changes, then check it at least once a month from then. You can compare results and continue to change things each time. I suggest only changing one or two things, then based on the results you can continue to improve, or revert to what you had previously.

Brainstorming is all about ideas. It’s about setting off a bumper crop of visions, options, and inspirations. From these, you will be able to select that first-class, unbeatable “miracle thought”… the one that has been all that you wanted and needed it to be for your successful business. Brainstorming is a creativity system for generating ideas for solving a problem. The highest result of a brainstorm session may be the above-mentioned COMPLETE solution to your problem. Or it may result in a list of ideas for tactics for a solution somewhere down the road. It may even result in a checklist for the formation of a plan to research and build a solution.

A simple brainstorming session can speedily kick-start your inventiveness and help you to stimulate ideas at a rapid rate. If you can only imagine something, brainstorming can always expand on it and perfect it. Always start by priming yourself for any session of brainstorming. Do a bit of research into your brainstorming topic. This will heighten your creativity think-cap.

You can brainstorm either individually or in a group. With group brainstorming, the participants are encouraged, and often expected, to let the others in on their ideas as soon as they are generated. The secret to brainstorming is to not disturb the thought process. As ideas come to mind, they are captured in written form, which will eventually provide the “history” of the session, and the stimulation for the development of better ideas.

Group members initially focus on extending or adding to the ideas, but they reserve criticism for a later “critical stage.” By postponing judgment, you allow a supportive atmosphere where members feel liberated for generating unusual ideas.

To get a good and long list of ideas, of course it is the unusual ideas that are particularly welcomed. These may open novel ways of thinking and present better solutions than “regular ideas.” Atypical ideas can be generated by getting a glimpse from another perspective, or simply by setting aside one’s assumptions. If an idea is too “wild” to be practicable, it can be tamed down to a more fitting idea with more ease than thinking up yet another new idea.

There appears to be a common notion that creating ideas is a difficult undertaking. Many people seem to think that creativity is a mystical art, known only to a privileged “chosen few,” and that such “thinking outside the box” takes years of tormented study to learn this skill. Clear all doubt from your mind, as this is just simply not true! Creativity is simple. We would even say it is painless and comfortable. Anybody can learn to think creatively. Anyone at all can come up with extraordinary, original ideas. We all were literally born to brainstorm!

Idea generation is a cognitive process — The ability to make spontaneous connections between ideas or concepts is what brainstorming is all about. Every idea leads directly to the next, with no pauses for thoughts or examination. This, in fact, is what is behind the workings of the original, icon-based Macintosh computer (NOT the PC… icons came later for PC, after the success by Macintosh} where the brain sees one picture (icon) and automatically connects that to another concept… and you, the user go: Click! There is no prearranged order to this — ideas should flow randomly, without any attempt to organize or structure them.

Below is a sample collection of the multitude of things that brainstorming can be applied to:

• Creative projects — fine art, commercial art, Inspirasyon
for media projects,Web projects, multimedia, performance-
based art

• Creative writing tasks — stories, books, scripts, articles

• Business ideas — new businesses, new products, new markets
for existing products, methods for adapting existing products,
advertising campaigns, marketing and promotional, sales

profit-pulling venture

• Scientific or technical research — win that grant or publish
that novel! “A-Ha!” and “Eureka” ideas instigated most of the
greatest scientific discoveries

Although the main purpose of brainstorming is to generate ideas, there are additional benefits:

• Improves creative thinking — members learn to move toward
problems creatively and use association in the idea-making
process, which becomes a skill they can use after the session,
in their own lives

• Improves morale — participants work collaboratively to find
a solution to a problem and every member is encouraged to take
initiative. The “self-worth” value is immense

• Enjoyment — members usually like the interactive element of
this creative atmosphere

The second you sit down to “make” yourself be creative, you probably will find that your brain goes into lockdown! Nothing in, nothing out. Zilch. Nada. That’s because there is no such thing as “forced creativity.” The best way to allow your mind to form ideas is when you are busy doing something else. Your brain goes into free flow; the doors are wide open for thoughts to enter in.

The human brain has an immense capacity — But the majority of it remains untapped in day by day life. In essence, the more you practice brainstorming, the simpler it will become to open up new, more ingenious and spontaneous patterns of thought. Are you beginning to visualize what these concepts can do for you, the Internet marketer? This will help immensely for:

• Never being stuck for a memorable, new idea

• Creating your best catchy marketing concept

• Sailing effortlessly toward the “solution of the riddle”

• Finding successful marketing concepts that are faithful to
your brand and to the nature of your unique business

The knack to brainstorming is to nudge your brain into working FOR you and not against you! On a personal level, you may become your own best friend — but in your business, you will become your own best ally!

Do not ask for the order. Inform & educate instead.

Emails and Sales pages are a way to express and market your products. Certain things will make your marketing a success; one of them is good content. Customers take a close look at how you present your content; express it in your own thoughts to sell the products.

Of course, there are bad moves in any business. Here are the things you must never say in an email or sales page – what better way to annoy customers when you constantly insist on making a sale, you end up with nothing. These kinds of things are very common in some new sales pages where the owner didn’t take up Internet marketing lessons.

Educate your customers.

Educating your customers should be the focus of all your marketing efforts. The more you explain to them how your product or service works, the more value they will perceive, and the more they will appreciate what you can do for them. This is especially true if you are doing something that is different from your competition.

Just tell them how you manufacture the products, the material you use, the process, how to get the product, if you travel, if you have to study, how many people you employ, performance, technical investment, etc.. People cannot appreciate the investment, education, or all you
have gone through until you share this information with them.

Prospects and customers expect you to educate them about your product and industry, not just sell it to them. You know your industry inside and out. You know why your product is better than everyone else’s, but it may take some convincing effort to turn a prospect into a customer.
This generally cannot be accomplished through a single ad or a message on your website. The best way to do this is to let your customers learn about your products first.

So, you need to convince the prospect to take precious time to understand why yours is the best merchandise around. Give them free information. Three effective communication vehicles include person-to-person communication or seminars, if you prefer to do it offline; next, through the mail or direct mail; or on the Internet via Search Engine Optimization and email newsletters.

Exploit the use of the Internet.

Information is a very good way to let your customers know what you offer on your site. You need to dissipate your information through emails. Similar to postal mail, email campaigns are often education-based in the form of a monthly newsletter. The cost of delivery is significantly less because the information is transmitted electronically and not through the Post Office.

Direct Mail is more than direct response.

Contrary to popular belief, not all direct mail invokes an immediate call to action. Response rate is a popular term in our industry, and numbers like 1% and 2% are good figures.

You can also try to engage in forum sites to educate others and refer them to your product. You can also put a link in your signature to guide them directly to your site. All of them can be used in a good way to earn more profits and have a good relationship with your customers.
