Ten Top Strategic Internet Marketing Tips
In order to make your website profitable, you have to draw in customers. To bring in customers, strategic internet marketing can do the job. It can bring in more customers, and improve the opinion of your brand and products.
Here are the top ten tips for using strategic internet marketing.
1. Formulate a Web Promotion Plan
You need to come up with a web promotion plan. Figure out how, where and when you want to advertise. Come up with a web design that will optimally showcase your products and/or information to the customer. You will also want to come up with a plan on how you will continue to develop and improve your website. The best tool I have found to do this in a mathematical and automatic way is by using a program called MuVar.

2. Get Good Search Ranking
You will want to get ranked at the top of the list of all the major search engines. While you can use PPC advertising to get started, you will want to make sure that you are also using Search Optimisation Techniques, either on your own or through a professional. This will ensure your staying power as one of the top websites. If you don’t have the budget for advertising then you can always use the tried and true method of article marketing.

3. Learn Email Marketing
Next, you will need to figure out the secrets behind email marketing and how you can use it effectively. You need to find a way to create and keep new clients in your email list. Start by coming up with good content and information that will keep your clients coming back for more.

4. Create an Opt-In List
Along similar lines, you will also want to create an opt-in email list. This will help create a solid customer base that you know wants to receive the information that you have to offer, instead of simply filing it in their Junk Mail folder on the email. Ever since I started my Internet Business I opened an account with Aweber. Personally I wouldn’t use another service because they have all the tools I need to keep in touch with my valued customers.

5. Dominate your Marketing Niche
In order to get above the competition, you must dominate your marketing niche. This means getting the best in affiliate, reseller, and associate programs. Of course, in order to use these effectively you have to have a product that stands out above the rest. Nothing beats creating your own of course, but I have had some very good success with PLR (Public Label Rights) packages, but I do put a lot of work into redesigning them into my own branded products.
6. Find a Coach or Consultant
One way to make sure that you are on the right track is to get an analysis from an Internet marketing coach or consultant. Your coach will go over your inbound links, keywords, and directory placement to make sure that you are covering all of your potential customers. Your coach can also let you know how usable your website is to the average customer. They can also let you know about cheaters that can scam you out of money. Your coach can also analyse the market and your competition to see how you can get the better of them.
7. Publish Articles
To help build your credibility as a businessperson, you have to get your name out there. Publishing articles is one way to do this. This not only lets potential customers see samples of what you have to offer, it can also lead to name recognition when they are browsing online. You can also accomplish this by getting listed in news stories.
8. Publish Press Releases/Start a Blog
Your customers want to be on top of everything that is going on with your company and they never want to hear it second-hand on another site. Writing and publishing online press releases will help to make sure that visitors to your website are kept on top of everything that is going on.
9. Run a Contest or Giveaway
Contests and giveaways can draw attention to your website. Everyone loves the chance to get something for free, and that may bring them to you when no other advertising strategies have. Plus, it will whet their appetite to get more from you, leading to future sales.
10. Provide excellent customer service.
Last but by no means least, your clients want to feel that they have a personal connection with you. If they take the time to email you with their thoughts or concerns, it is good customer service to get back to them right away. Using email auto-responders can let your clients know that you received their emails; however, you still need to respond to any questions or complaints quickly and effectively.

These are wonderful guidelines for the begining Internet marketer to use! One thing I m ight add is to utilize Google’s free website tracking program at Google Analytics. This tool has helped me soooooo much! Just a tip for anyone wanting to track their visitors.

I agree with the comment above because I have been using Google Analytics for quite sometime now and it really give me a good insight into everything that is happening on my blog.
If you haven’t started using it yet I suggest you do because the information is GOLD.
Wordpress also have an excellent plugin called BlogStats which I use as well and can highly recommend.

I think this was a great article with some key information. One thing I would suggest; however, is that since a lot of surfers online will generally skim through articles/text , you might want to number and/or label the steps in your list with easy to read headings… remember that thinking about your readers and making it easier for them to find information will be great for returning traffic

Thanks for the useful post, and debate in the comments. There are pros and cons to KeywordLuv and CommentLuv. For me, CommentLuv has a slight advantage as it provides a deep-link to a blog post, as well as a general link to the homepage. Assuming you have keywords in your post-titles, you get the best of both.
