Subscription box test results

February 22nd, 2008

You may remember I was testing Aweber against Feedburner as my subscription manager, and I also mentioned I was using a unique split testing method to ensure the best subscription box was shown to get peoples emails. Well the results so far have been interesting to say the least.

One glaring version of my subscription box came as quite a surprise, and it’s not the fact that it is slightly different to another, it’s more like throwing out the others because they just don’t work. This variable rarely gets tested by anyone, even the “guru” types. In fact, I’ve never heard one of those so called “guru’s” ever mention this type of variable test.

This is EXTREMELY powerful.

If you add this one variable version to some of your own tests, you’re pretty much guaranteed to make a shocking discovery.

I will be sharing these test results with my readers. However, because these results are valuable, I’d like to keep this private rather than using just a regular blog entry.

This is what I’m going to do.

I will be making the post private by protecting it with a password. I will be posting these results on Monday 25th.

I’ll be sending out the password to my blog announcement list a few hours prior to posting the blog entry. Of course, that means if you aren’t currently on my blog announcement list you won’t receive the password and you will miss this valuable information that could change how you set up your subscription boxes.

To ensure you get the password, you must fill out your first name and primary e-mail address in the form on the top right of my blog and click on the subscribe button. Once you’ve done that, make sure you check your inbox for a confirmation e-mail so I know I have your permission to send you e-mail. (remember to check your spam folders if you can’t find it)

Warning:
Don’t try using those fake, temporary e-mail accounts just for getting the password. Some readers have tried to be clever in the past, that doesn’t fly with me. I ban folks who do tricky things like that. Please use a REAL e-mail account.

Sign up now before you forget and you will be certain to receive the password.

Have a fantastic day.

If you like what I post on my blog and you would like me to post more, could you grab me a coffee to help stay awake? A coffee usually costs $3, but everything helps :)

    Ian,

    Michael the Germerman again …*-).

You’re about to become my favourite split tester ever.

I don’t give that much to what the (mostly self-claimed) gurus say anyway. Always better to use the own brain …lol

So now i’m curious for your results.

    Keep the good work up.

    Regards,

    Michael
