I’m giving more Luv, now with CommentLuv and KeywordLuv

EzyAs123

I’ve just added another plugin to my site to help those who put in the time and effort to write a comment on my site.

Introducing KeywordLuv.

KeywordLuv is a great little addition to CommentLuv because now instead of your name being tagged with your web site, you can have an all important Keyword as the Anchor Text. Oh and the plugin is free as well :)

WHY IS ANCHOR TEXT IMPORTANT?

There are many articles about the value of having your keywords in the anchor text of backlinks to your site. This helps your site rank well for those keywords with the search engines, bringing you more traffic.

One source of backlinks are comments on DoFollow blogs (like EzyAs123), but the anchor text is normally your name. While this helps you rank well for your name, it’s practically worthless for your keywords. That’s why some commentators put keywords in the name field, but they risk being marked as spammers.

Now I’m all too aware of your desire to get the best value from your link, but I’m tired of answering comments with “Hi Miami Hotels”. I’d like you to leave your name, without it effecting your keyword benefit.

Enter KeywordLuv…

Now by using the KeywordLuv plugin (and a Dofollow plugin) I’ve given you better links, rewarding and encouraging you to leave more comments.

How do I use KeywordLuv?

It’s very Ezy (just like everything I do).

You should see a message under the comments box on any post, if not I have written it here for your reference.

I’m spreading the Luv even more, now you can use KeywordLuv. Simply enter YourName@YourKeywords in the Name field to take advantage, so in my case I would be entering Ian@Internet Business

Note: This message does not appear if you are logged in, as logged in users normally don’t have a Name field to enter YourName@YourKeywords into.

This all comes with one condition.

When I do my weekly search for interesting blog posts to leave comments on with a link back to my site, I always put in time and effort to leave a comment worth publishing. I’m sure you will agree with me when I say that leaving a comment like “Great post” or “Interesting comments on (topic)” and expect to have it published with a link back to your site is a little narrow minded. I certainly DON’T publish those comments and delete them straight away. I also visit the site linking from the comment to make sure it is something I want to support. After-all, by publishing that comment on my blog I am in effect supporting the associated person and site.

So here’s what I do when I make comments on other peoples blogs. I read the post, and all the comments, and only if I can add something of value I then make a comment. I also make sure my comment is at least one or two paragraphs with something worth reading by the owner and visitors. By doing this I have found that nearly ALL my comments are published, and in some cases I have been contacted by the owner of the blog thanking me personally for my contribution.

Now there is another benefit that isn’t apparent at first, but I am going to bring it to your attention right now.

If you leave good comments on blogs, and the blog owner contacts you personally to thank you, you then have an opportunity to strike up a deal with them to add your blog (in return you add theirs) to the blogroll as a recommended site.

Can you see the benefits here?

I’m sure you can, and if you read between the lines you might even see what I am suggesting here ;)

So if you are here now reading this and want to make a comment to get both CommentLuv and KeywordLuv then please make an effort and I will happily publish your comment so you will get those all important links back to your site.

If I don’t publish your comment it will be for one of only two reasons.

1. You wrote a post that really wasn’t worth publishing.

2. I didn’t want to support your site for content reasons.

Other than those two reason I can guarantee if you follow my example I will publish your comment within 24 hours.

I look forward to reading your valuable comments and passing back valuable links.

Regards,

Ian Richardson

    1. I suppose that’s my keyword. How’s that? ;)

I’ve been thinking about adding something like this to our blog but I’m not sure if people in the music blog community would really be interested by something like this. I’m sort of in both worlds as I know internet marketing as well.

Man WordPress is great though. I used to be on blogger and I really look at that as wasted time now, I should have been on WordPress all along. So many cool plugins like this you can add on so easily.

    2. Hi Jonny,

As you can see from your comment you now have two links back to your site.

One next to your name as in Jonny from Music Blog using KeywordLuv and another at the end of your comment using CommentLuv.

Also, because you left a comment that wasn’t just one line and had something of value I was more than happy to approve it.

      Regards,

      Ian

    3. This sounds like a good initiative however my feeling is that it won’t take a lot of time before spam engines find this and start flooding commentLuv and keywordLuv blogs. Also I am wondering if Google will not penalize dofollow blogs in the end…

    4. Thank you so much for installing this plugin. I spend so much time cruising around the web reading the various blogs out there. It’s like a little reward to get a link back to your site when you contribute.

    5. I definitely think this is rewarding for both parties and will encourage readers to leave a comment.

    7. Interesting!
CommentLuv helps you reward your commentators by separating their name from their keywords in the link to their site. This gives them improved anchor text, which can help their site rank higher in the search engine results.
You can now leave a comment with your name as well as a keyword of your choice here and get a PR5 link back to your site! How cool is that? People pay big bucks for that and all you have to do is comment here.

    8. The commentluv and keywordluv plugins are great for increasing comment participation amongst your readers. Having lots of comments benefits your blog, so it is a good way of giving something back.

However it does naturally increase the potential for spam comments, which is not only a pain for the blog owner, but also for readers. Providing it is not abused, and correctly monitored by the blog owner, it can be a win win situation.

@Nick@no win no fee compensation claims, I use them both and yes I do receive a lot of spam comments, but they usually only take 5 minutes to sort through and delete.

I think the benefits to both the blog owner and people who leave valuable comments far out weigh the bad points.
