The customer is always right. However, a particular customer may not be right for you. There’s a lot of stress and hard work in being your own boss. By eliminating as much of that stress, you make your business better. By eliminating the few troublemakers who take up most of your time dealing with customer service issues, you do everyone a favour!

This doesn’t mean you have the right to be wrong or rude. You need to be polite, patient, refund their money and never accept another cent from them, ever again. It may seem like bad business to turn away more money. The fact of the matter is that aggravation is one of the most costly drains on a business. It causes chronic health problems, poor customer service to your good customers and unnecessary stress.

There’s a famous ratio called the 80/20 rule, or Pareto’s Principle. It states that 80% of your income will come from 20% of your customers. In the same fashion, 80% of your stress will come from 20% of your customers. In this case, that ratio may be more like 95% of the stress comes from 5% of your customers. Be willing to let them go and replace them with low-maintenance, nice customers.

In the same fashion, do your best to attract and keep the good ones. Put most of your customer service effort into retention of the ones that pay on time, are polite and respectful and handle your mistakes and errors with patience and kindness. The change in attitude and lowering of stress will improve your work environment.

You can take this improvement to the next level by thinking of ways to involve your customers in your business. By sincerely trying to find ways to make your business more useful, attentive and sensitive to the needs of the good people who buy from you, you create a connection with your customers that will be hard to break.

Keep in mind, your competition will be out there, trying to steal or seduce as much of your market share as they can. Your best defence against price cutting, bonuses, coupons, discounts and all the other inducements they may offer is customer loyalty based on something higher - love and respect.

This may sound extreme, but it’s really just the Golden Rule, applied to business. If a person behaves repulsively, repel them. If they behave wonderfully, wow them! This is just good business sense and practical business practice. You will find that your business’s “brand” will be measured by how well you treat people.

Wasting time and energy on negative influences is bad for business. Eliminate as many of them as possible. Pour as much energy and time into cultivating your good customers as possible. The result of this kind of working rule may seem intangible, but it will definitely create a positive influence on your future growth and stability.

In like fashion, be willing to take a small loss in favor of preserving customer retention. Quibbling over a few dollars for return postage or extra fees to solve a problem is another bad business practice. Many marketers are beginning to offer what is called a “lose/win” guarantee. They not only give 100% refunds, they throw in a bit extra to show that they really stand behind their product or service. In reality, just getting your money back doesn’t reimburse you for the time and effort you wasted buying a product you have to return. A lose/win guarantee respects that fact and acknowledges it in the best way - being willing to take a loss, just like the customer did!

You may not have known this but I didn’t have access to the Internet or my blog for about 4 days this week due to something ‘technical’ that couldn’t be fixed quickly. Fortunately I had already loaded a number of blog posts so they would be posted each day (must have known something was coming). So I thought I would dedicate this post to automating things to make life easier.for your Internet Business.

There’s a story about a wealth seeker who sold everything he had and used the money to search for “The Touchstone”, a magical stone that could turn anything into gold. It was supposed to be located on a seashore far away, mixed in with all the other stones found there. The difference was that it would be warm to the touch, unlike all the others. This seeker of wealth went to that seashore and began picking up stones, feeling them and throwing them into the sea if they were cold. This went on for many months. Finally, one day, he picked up a stone, felt it and threw it into the sea. Unfortunately, it felt warm.

The problem with repetitive chores is more than just throwing away opportunities by mistake. The time you spend on drudge work is time you take away from working on the strategic and tactical considerations your business requires. That’s where the money is. Being able to devote your time to planning, goal setting and the like will increase your income and free up your time to spend on all the other things in life you enjoy.

By automating everything from your email campaigns to updating the content on your Web sites or blogs, you free yourself from having to do that which is best done by machine, often for free. Sure, you may have to pay a monthly fee for an autoresponder. That money is well spent if you use it to its best advantage. Loading up 52 weeks of follow up emails to your list means you have a year to come up with more content for next year. Using a service to supply your digital downloads to customers means you don’t have to be checking email every five minutes and sending out big files as attachments that end up in a spam folder, leading to more email and more aggravation.

Thanks to the growth of the Internet as a “platform”, practically any repetitive chore can be done via software, scripts or another Web site that does these chores for you. This is also another means of making a killing online. By supplying the script, software or Web site that does chores for other Internet Marketers, you create a stream of revenue supported by folks who will grow and want more of the same. This can be a gold mine for programmers and those who manage them. Stay on top of what the market is looking for and be there to supply it reliably. Then, spend a lot of time counting and spending your income!

Another great feature of many automated scripts and programs is personalisation. When you “capture” personal information about a customer or prospect, that information can be used to “populate” forms, emails, sales letters and more. By automatically filling in what would be blank fields in a sales page or saying, “Dear ‘Sparky’”, rather than, “Dear Friend”, in an email header, you create an emotional connection with your contact. Even very jaded IM pros appreciate the little touches that show someone has thought about saving a bit of time or personalising what could be cold and impersonal.

You increase your value to people by giving them as much as you can that really matters to them. Nobody wants to hear the excuse that, “I’m doing this all by hand, so allow some extra time to get what you want.” Let a machine crank out your repetitive tasks and deliver your digital downloads. There’s less chance you’ll drop the ball through human error and more opportunity for you to work on the next phase of your campaign to dominate your neck of the Virtual woods.

Regards,

Build your business upon your main strength. Even though this advice applies to any business you might start, it’s especially true in the field of Internet Business. There are so many unique niches, skills that are required, services that are needed and products that are necessary that everybody should be able to find something to do that will let them shine. You don’t want to be wasting your time chasing after a business model that doesn’t fit your strengths.

Unfortunately, many people get seduced by the profits they see others reaping from a particular method or system, and try to “ape” them. Monkey see, monkey do is fine if you’re playing. In business, it’s a ticket to a quick loss and a face full of monkey’s doo-doo. Don’t just copy something because it looks profitable.

There’s also the problem of getting advice for your business from the wrong person. Just because somebody is a success in their chosen field doesn’t make them the right source for coaching you in your business. Too many successful people don’t really know why they are successful. Even worse, the reasons for their success aren’t what they think they are. If you want business coaching, go to a real business coach. You wouldn’t ask for soccer coaching from a golf pro, would you?

The best place for you to start, if you don’t already know with certainty what your core competence is, will be to ask other people. Many of us have a “blind spot” when it comes to ourselves. You may have been struggling with self-examination for years, but an outsider who gets to know you over the period of a week could probably point out your flaws and strong points easily. The hard part is hearing, and accepting what you hear.

Once you do know what you were made for, make a plan to put that to work. Keep in mind that your weaknesses and flaws will have to be covered by you, at first. Part of your plan should include a provision for outsourcing or leveraging your weaknesses as soon as you can afford it. A Virtual Assistant, employee or JV partner could be the way for you to get the chore done, without you becoming a drudge that spends most of your time working for your business, instead of ON your business.

This brings up the point of working on your weaknesses and improving them. It might be best if you didn’t do that. Let somebody else do that for you. It’s very romantic, to think of yourself as a self-reliant entrepreneur, handling anything and everything with a flair. That’s an illusion. Nobody can do everything well. Most of us are lucky if we can do ONE thing passably well. Don’t bother becoming a better clerical worker. Hire one, or pass the work on to a partner that hires them.

There is one skill that every entrepreneur needs to develop - the ability to implement a plan, idea or vision. Million dollar ideas are a dime a dozen. Implementation plans are priceless! You cannot make your millions if all you do is come up with ideas that never get made into reality. If action plans (systems and methods for implementing great ideas) are not your thing, you’ll need the help of a partner or company that specialises in making things happen. In fact, if they are weak in the area of “brainstorming” and comprehensive thinking, you may be the “outsource” they need to get their million dollar payday. Put your great ideas together with a team of battle-hardened warriors, and both of you will win the battle.

Regards,

…then let common sense prevail!

It doesn’t matter if you have been around for a while, or relatively new to the Internet Business scene, you’ve probably already seen ads, sales pages and emails promoting a number of ways to become absolutely filthy rich in no time, with no work and no brains! Come on, if that were true, nobody would be working any more. We’d all be spending money online, buying from each other. For some of us, the spending part is too true! The problem is that these same folks aren’t making any money at all.

Aside from the various money scams, “phishing” tricks to steal your identity and “spoof” emails from payment processors, there’s a group of opportunists that want your money for nothing - nothing actionable, that is. They’re the ones that tell you what you want to hear, and may even tell you what to do to make big bucks fast and easy. The problem is, they don’t tell you HOW to do this. The system, method, technique or software that you’re encouraged to buy is missing a key element - implementation, or how to make it work.

In some cases, the idea actually worked well, for a while. Now that it’s outdated, diluted or even illegal, these sharks sell it to the unsuspecting “new kid on the block”. By the time the poor kid figures out that this bright, shiny thing is useless, the desire to get a refund has withered away. That’s what these predators count on - lack of follow through on the part of the buyer.

Since most people are not cut out to be self-employed go-getters, a promise of easy riches with no effort or sacrifice gets these “underachievers” to pay for products and services that won’t work. The risk is minimal. A simple disclaimer about income promises, work involved and ability are glossed over by the greedy and protect the scammer from being shut down for over-promising.

The problem for the sincere, hard working types who are looking for (and offering) genuine help and useful products and services is that many of the good ones can appear to be the same as the bad ones. In fact, most, if not all, of the tactics and strategies used by the crooks are used by the good guys. The difference is accountability. Practically every good idea, product and service is backed up by customer service, “no hassle” money back guarantees and genuine positive feedback from buyers who are reachable.

“Investigate before you invest” is sound advice when you’re thinking about putting your money in an investment product. It’s the same when you’re deciding about knowledge products, software and help building your business. The first rule of thumb for spending money on a given tool is, “When in doubt, don’t!” Until you’ve developed your intuition and some knowledge about good business practices, ask around. Go to discussion forums, interest groups and the like and post questions about what you’re investigating. Make sure you follow the rules of the group or forum. You can get booted out, razzed or worse if a simple search could have gotten your answer for you.

Research and caution are the two things you’ll need to protect yourself from excess credit card debt and nothing to show for it. Also, keep in mind those clever manipulators scam even seasoned business owners. Being experienced in protecting themselves, they get their refund or “chargeback” their credit card account. Then they spread the word to their colleagues that “So and So” is a so-and-so. By keeping your own eyes open and finding the places where the serious-minded businesspeople meet and chat, you’ll be able to share in the same warnings that the pros give to each other.

Regards,

Millions of bloggers recommend WordPress over other blogging platforms and for good reason. WordPress is not only user friendly and easy to set up, even for those who are not very tech savvy, but it offers a lot of plug-ins that can maximize the effectiveness of your blog. While WordPress is free to use, they also offer a paid upgrade option so this might be something to take into consideration, especially if you want to include ads, such as Google AdSense ads on your blog.

If you’re interested in setting up a blog rather quickly though, you can’t go wrong with WordPress. They also have a wide assortment of themes, so you won’t have to worry about your blog looking like everyone else’s. Some of the WordPress themes will let you include an image or photo in the header bar so your blog is easy to personalise. You can also categorise your posts, which is helpful if you write about different subjects within your niche. You don’t want your visitors to have to sift through a month’s worth of blog post to find the one article they are searching for so this is a big plus. You’ll also have a lot of fun with all the widgets WordPress offers. Some of these you can change or personalise and some you can’t.

TypePad is another increasingly popular blogging platform. There is a subscription fee to use TypePad but they do offer a free trial so you can try it out first. Some people feel that TypePad is easier to use than WordPress if you’re not very tech savvy, especially because the widgets are easier to use. TypePad may be the right blogging platform for you if you are interested in your blog showing up in the search engines and if you are an Internet marketer, this is most likely the case.

So what if you just can’t afford to pay for blog hosting right now? If that’s the case, then you should still consider blogging, both for the experience and the exposure. Just because you pay for blog hosting doesn’t necessarily mean your blog will be discovered by customers hungry to spend their money on your product or service and if you don’t pay for blog hosting, it doesn’t mean your blog won’t do you any good either.

Whichever blogging platform you choose, remember to post interesting, relevant content and update often, at least once a day if possible. As you grow your business, you will develop a clientele that will most likely find your blog interesting and will start to look at it as a relevant source of information so take it very seriously, whether or not you pay for it.

Regards,

Blogging traffic is a give and take relationship. Sometimes one of the best ways to get traffic to your blog is by visiting someone else ’s blog.

Go to their blog and read one of their entries, or read a few of them. Chances are that you are going to find something that you have in common.

When you find something that you find truly interesting on a blog, leave a comment so that they know that you were there.

One of the best known blogs available is LiveJournal. A great feature of LiveJournal is that you can search for interests on their site and it will come up with results of those who have that interest.

Are you interested in Golf? You can see what other bloggers are interested in Golf riding as well.

When you are commenting on someone’s post, you want to make sure that you don’t leave generic comment. If you like the post, say something about what you read in
the post.

After you have commented on the person’s post, then you can say something like, ‘I really like Golf too. I had a similar experience to yours.’ and then use it to link back to your journal.

But be sure that you sound sincere when you are commenting, and don’t make them feel like you’re just fishing for traffic.

If someone thinks that you are using their blog to get more traffic to yours, they won’t visit your site and your efforts will be wasted.

These are the rules I follow when I do my weekly task of finding blog to leave comments and hopefully gain some all important links back to my site.

If you want me to give you the same in return then all I ask if for you to leave a comment of value and then it will be published here on my blog.

You are only wasting my time and yours if you don’t put in some effort because your comment will simply be deleted.

Regards,

Most people who have used the Internet, or even know what it is know what Google is. But most people don’t know what exactly it is that Google does.

Or rather what makes Google do what it does. Google searches are able to be so accurate because of Latent Semantic Indexing.

Latent Semantic Indexing allows a search engine to determine what a page is about by searching for one or more keywords selected by the user.

It adds an important step to the document index process. LSI records keywords that a document contains as well as examines the document collection as a whole.

By placing importance on related words, or words in similar positions, LSA has a net effect of making the value of pages lower so they only match specific terms.

Search engines such as Google try to figure out phrase relationships when they are processing keyword queries, which in turn improve the rankings of pages with related phrases.

This happens even when those pages are not focused on the target theme. Some pages are too focused on one phrase and they tend to rank worse than you would expect them to.

In fact, some are even filtered out for being too over optimized. Pages that are focused on a wider net of related keywords tend to have more stable rankings.

Although the LSI algorithm doesn’t understand anything about what the words mean, the patterns it notices make the search engine look extremely intelligent.

So you can see why it is important to have content that follows the system one of the BIGGEST search engines on the PLANET use!

Thus the reason why I use an article service which provides you with PLR conforming to the LSI structure.

I’ve mentioned LSI or Latent Semantic Indexing a few times in my posts lately. I thought it might be a good idea to cover some of the basics.

Ok this may get a little technical so you might need a coffee. I’m sharing this with you so you understand the importance of LSI with your articles. We have to become more clever with what we do online in order to stay ahead of the pack.

Got your coffee?… Here goes…..

Latent semantic indexing is a technique that projects queries and documents into space with latent semantic dimensions.

In the latent semantic space, a query and a document are similar even if they don’t share any of the same terms if their terms are semantically similar.

LSI is similarly metric to word overlap measures. LSI has fewer dimensions than the original space and is a method for dimensionality reduction.

This reduction takes a set of objects that exist in a high-dimensional space and rearranges them and represents them in a lower dimensional space instead.

They are often represented in two or three-dimensional space just for the purpose of visualization. Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI is a mathematical application technique sometimes known as singular value decomposition.

The projection into the LSI space is chosen so that the representations in the space of origin are changed as little as possible. Then it is measured by the sum of the squares of the difference.

There are several different mappings for latent semantic indexing from high dimensional to low dimensional spaces.

LSI chooses the optimal mapping in a sense that minimizes the distance. Choosing the number of dimensions is a unique problem.

A reduction can remove much of the noise while keeping too few dimensions may lose important information. LSI performance is improved considerably after ten to twenty dimensions and peaks at seventy to one hundred dimensions.

Then it slowly begins to diminish again. There is a pattern of performance that is observed with other datasets as well.

Now didn’t that just do your head in?

Ok, to put it in simpler terms.

Search engines are starting to use LSI, so if you can use a product that takes advantage of LSI already then you are ahead of the pack….

….RIGHT?

So keep this in mind, like I do, when I research what will make it easier for me to accomplish my goals with my Internet Business I always try to keep up with what search engines are looking for, and right now that is LSI content.

The Internet is all about information and automation. Internet users want information and they want it right now. Are you looking for new and creative ways to create an income?

Would you believe there are tens of thousands of people who have found ways to make money online? Not only that, but their incomes are significant and growing, due to little competition and low cost of entry.

Buying inexpensive hosting, making a few changes to a couple of files like putting your name on it and uploading the files, or renaming the product with any name you want and selling it. When you have the source code, you own the product. You can earn a great income selling products as your own.

However, you must pay close attention to what rights you have and what you’re allowed to do with each product. They do spell it out for you; you just need to pay attention and you can literally begin making money right away.

There are many ways you can become successful with your own products. Included here are some ideas and tips to help you.

Read the e-books and use the software programs and scripts yourself. These products are professionally created by experienced website owners who share their Internet marketing exploits.

Set up websites and resell your new products. They should be related to your target audience. You want to be able to take credit cards on your site and deliver your product to them as fast as possible. You can start a new Internet marketing business in much less than a day.

Sell Reprint or Resale Rights to your new products. You can sell resale rights of the products you created. Include your website links to the products and let the resellers promote your website while they’re reselling your products.

Sell Limited or Unlimited Master Reprint or Resale Rights. You can also sell master resell rights of the products. This means master resellers can sell the resell rights to your products and this can brand your name fast and easily on the Internet.

Sell Private Label or Re-branding Rights. If you like, you can also sell private label rights just like I am doing. This is another great way to profit if your target customers are other business owners!

Learn sales ideas from reading and studying other businesses’ advertising and marketing material. It could be ads, brochures, TV ads, sales letters, etc. For example, if you see an attention-getting headline, rewrite it, but don’t copy it for your own product. Another example: if you seen an ad with a persuasive ‘before’ and ‘after’ picture, maybe you could do that for your own product.

Allow people to use any of your freebies as free bonuses for products or services they sell. Include your ad in all of your freebies. Some people only give away freebies in order to allow other people the right to give them away. You could also give them the right to include a freebie with their own product as a bonus.

Purchase reprint rights to other people’s e-books and combine them in a large package deal with your own product. You should check with the reprint rights owners to see if they will allow it first. If you can’t afford to buy reprint rights, you could always trade for them.

Customize the source code. Customize the source code to build your own unique software or script. You can finally have your very own software and script that no one else has.

Rewrite the e-Books. Look at the way your draft reads now and see if it fits your style of writing, your personality, and your business. Add or remove content from the draft ebook provided, use the draft to create email courses, articles, content in your ezines and sales letters - just be a little more creative and you can have your very own unique content easily. Your ebook should be well-organized and enable your readers to easily locate important information.

Some limitations in buying private rights. Actually, you can freely do whatever you want using these private label resale rights products. You keep 100% profit from what you make using these products.

There are some problems with most PLR sites though:

Everybody has access to the same content, which means they’re all feeding it to the search engines in the hopes of being the “first one”.

The articles themselves are lacking quality and aren’t well-researched. Sometimes they’re even full of grammatical errors and false - or even dangerous information.

The articles are all rehashed information based on what’s already on the web. There’s nothing new to expand on, so search engines, and the people that use them, get the “same old - me too” stuff!

I’ve been using a lot of PLR articles and material, and I have fallen deeply into the “quick and easy” option of looking for content I can use.

But now I’ve found the answer to this content trap.

It’s called LSI and simply put, it’s “smart content”. Content using LSI reads naturally to people, while being different and unique to the search engines.

It also allows you to grow and expand your internet marketing business into other areas as well. The concept is so simple, yet so accurate - I’m surprised it hasn’t been done before!

Here are just a few ideas for what you can do with this PLR content:

Split each article into several 100-200 word posts and create numerous blog entries from them.

Create 4-5 reports and use them to build up a large subscriber mailing list.

Make 2-3 e-books per niche using article content

Turn the articles into one big e-book and sell it for more money

Create a niche membership site where you deliver content each and every month for a recurring fee to your members.

And why not Create a complete profit funnel?

Picture this:

You create a special report to give away using 5 of these articles

You create a landing page (or a blog) featuring 5 to 10 articles and displaying your subscription form

You create a paid ebook by combining 25 articles (nearly 20,000 words)

You load 7 articles into your autoresponder to pre-sell your ebook to your new subscribers

You can create an upsell with an additional report created using the remaining articles, or by creating a membership site

Depending on how you set it up, you could even create a 2nd ebook and sell it

All articles are provided in Text and Word format for ease of use!

Now I’m betting you haven’t seen anything like that before! I knew when I read it that I hadn’t. Plus, I was even more surprised when I got down near the bottom of the page.

Did you see that? I’m not the only one who thinks this guy is nuts, right?

Here’s the link again - look near the bottom:

http://bestplr.ezyas123.com

I don’t know about you but I’m definitely dumping all the other PLR content for this one!
