Quick Update

Filed Under (Make Money Blogging, Niche News, Website) by Ian Richardson on 13-06-2008

It’s been a while since I’ve written something here, mainly due to the fact I have been setting up some new sites for testing (results will be posted here when ready). Basically I am setting up what’s known as a Silo Site Structure involving LSI, and the other is a straight landing page/lead generator/affiliate marketing site (with a difference).

Back to a Silo Site Structure and LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Rather than me go into explaining what it’s all about and how it can generate income from a number of areas, I’ll let you have this free report which explains it a lot better than I could, plus it saves me from writing it all here :)

Right click on the image of the report and select Save As to save the ZIP file containing the report.

Complete Guides To Web Site Design & SEO Optimization – Plus Templates

Filed Under (Make Money Blogging, Website) by Ian on 26-05-2008

Do you build your own web sites?

If you’re serious about building an Internet Business you at least need to know some of the basics.

I knew nothing about how to build a web site and the knowledge I have now took me hours of looking at the source code of sites and then looking through books to find out what the codes meant and did (there weren’t as many resources on the Internet in 1998).

These days there are a number of resources which can make it a WHOLE LOT EASIER to build web sites, and one of them you may have recently downloaded yourself, EzyHTMLEditor.

You might be thinking to yourself that could be easier to pay someone to build the sites for you. That might be true, but you will need to have a bit of cash, if you can afford to have someone else build your sites then it obviously makes things a lot easier. But it can become very expensive to use a web designer every time you need to build a web page, so if you CAN do some of it yourself you WILL SAVE yourself quite a bit of MONEY and TIME.

The 6 Steps To a Profitable Website

Filed Under (Website) by Mark Thompson on 13-04-2008

by Mark Thompson

When it comes to building a profitable website you need to plan and prepare first. Far too many people will have an idea for a particular type of website and then straight away buy the domain name and then start to build it without actually thinking through what it is they need to do. Just like these people I would build hundreds of websites and then spend time constantly moving from one to the next without any real plans in place. However today I have learn that it is much better to concentrate on have no more than 20 sites and because of this I have seen my income dramatically increase.

In order for you to make sure that the sites you end up creating for yourself are profitable there are a number of steps that you will need to follow. If you stick to the formula we provide in this article you will soon see just how the quickly the income from the sites you build increases. But before you actually start building your sites you need to get a ring binder and same paper. You then divide the binder up into sections for each site you are wishing to create. You may want to do this on your PC but you will find that you actually use what you have within the folder more when it is just beside your PC.

The first step is to carry out Keyword Research. It is at this stage you will need to think about the niches and the sections that you will need to have. The niche you choose can be on any subject that you want, and as you will soon discover there are many niches which also have very profitable sub niches which you may wish to explore. Although Cars as your niche website would be good one about SUV’s as a sub niche or even one on carburretors would be much more beneficial. The most important thing to remember about keyword research is that you need to find a good mix of keywords. Look for those which have very little competition against them and look for those that will provide you with a challenge when it comes to promoting your site.

I’m not very much into site builders, mainly because I have to go in later on and do a lot of modification afterwards. As you already know, I work closely with JP Schoeffel on many products, so when I saw his latest creation I was very excited.

Today I am happy to tell you about JP Schoeffel’s Niche Video Site Builder.

It does exactly what the title states. This script builds sites that uses videos as the content. There are more videos being added to the web each day than any other type of content.

A Web Builder’s Dilemma, Part II – A New Breed Of Web Site, The MEGA Mini Site!

Filed Under (Internet Mini Sites, Website) by Ian on 10-04-2007

We can easily see that there are many benefits for both the content site as well as the mini site. The question, then, might be: Is there a “hybrid” type of site that might embrace traits from both types of Web site?

What took you so long to ask? Enter stage right {drum roll!} — the Mini Theme Site!

A mini theme site is a dead ringer for (but smaller than) a huge content site, but with a crucial difference: It is firmly focused on just one portion of a theme. Build around a topic you really enjoy and one that addresses your readers’ needs, optimize it for the search engines, and be ready to hang tight for superior upcoming results, because you are now ready to achieve success.

A Web Builder’s Dilemma, Part I — Is The Mini Site On Its Way Out?

Filed Under (Internet Mini Sites, Website) by Ian on 09-04-2007

With the advent of “The Google Slap” where thousands of Internet Marketers with sites that were nothing more than Google Adsense and very little or no content, lost their engine indexing overnight. Business went down the electronic drain, and any kind of page rank was a dim and distant memory. Although a hardship for many, keep in mind that Google’s goal has been to trim out the spammers, and bring back real content in the search pages. It appears to be working.

A lot of information has been made available recently, along with specific content tools being created, that are in the “white hat” variety, and will help you in your search for ways to develop the right kind of content, and bring traffic to your sites. A lot of people have been questioning if this has also been the death knell for “mini sites.” This article is intended to provide you with an overview of what is evolving, in the arena of content site versus mini site.

First of all, here is one of the beauties of building a mini site. It allows you to focus on specific information that will be meaningful to a very targeted population. You can follow your heart and build mini sites around topics you really love. Do you love art? Better yet, do you love ceramic art pieces? Find a pottery how-to book that is selling well, or some needed tools such as a potter’s wheel or ceramic hand-building tools that are good sellers, and assemble your mini site around these products. Mini sites are designed to SELL, and your mini site could quickly harvest immediate and profitable results.
