Strangely enough, even now we see blogs been hacked using exploits that have been in existence for a while. Thanks for sharing the plugin but I think we all need to remember - patch your blog installation often and patch it fast!

In a world of WordPress security updates, someone is offering a way of protecting your WordPress blogs in between updates. Afterall, you’re not constantly connected to the internet, which means you don’t know how quickly you’ll be able to install the needed security patches. Still, is WordPress Secure worth getting?

I used wordpress secure… some how a hacker got into my account — banned my IP where I could not log in — went in via ftp and removed it.

I do not know how they did it — but they did.

I actually use this software on my blog. The $10 is well worth the security and peace of mind. I don’t directly make money from my blog but the links I have on there are important to me. If they were changed, someone else is suddenly getting my visitors.

Great product. Highly recommended.

Some great advice about hacking. I would never had thought to worry about such things, but now I will. I’ll be checking out the softward you have recommended, so thank you for that.

And here’s a quick question for you?

Do you think that hacking stuff only applies to free blogs hosted on wordpress, or also for paid domain hosting blogs?

I’ll be protecting myself from here on in, that’s for sure. Thanks again.
